Lanes In-School Bowling Program
The In School
Bowling Program was started by Sarah Noel in 1990. One of the First
schools she went to was Longleaf Elementary, here in Pensacola, where
she met LaDonna Powers Day. LaDonna introduced her to other teachers and
help to get the program up and running. |
 |
| Mrs. Noel stayed with
us for five years and did a great job of getting bowling into the
schools. In 1995, Mrs. Donna Kuch took over the program. She has added
more schools every year. We now go to 20 schools, and 10 schools do the
program on their own. We are teaching close to 30,000 children the
basics of bowling in school. We take the bowling pins, bowling balls,
clip boards, and video tapes to the schools. We work with the P.E.
teachers and follow their schedules for 1 week. The children love the
bowling program and can win free games for strikes and spares. Some
schools take field trips to Cordova Lanes. We keep the cost down to
$3.50 per person for 2 hours of bowling. Our motto is "NOBODY
GETS BENCHED IN BOWLING!" |

Lanes Presents:
The 4th Annual
Turn your Life Around
Award Program
May 4, 2004 at 6:00 PM
The Turn Your Life
Around Award is a program to honor students who have made a choice to do
better in academics, personal development, and citizenship.
How it works:
P.E. Teachers chooses a child that meets the requirements listed above.
Cordova Lanes has a bowling party for that child and their families to honor
that child. We bowl and have wonderful food served by our own Ms. Bobbie
Reynolds. It is a night of fun and awards. We ask that the P.E. teacher or
another teacher or the principal of your school come that night and give the
award. We are proud of the hard work and commitment that the teachers and
children strive for excellence year after year. This is our way of saying
THANK YOU for making the In School Bowling Program such a great success.
We would like to have a
child from your school. The first 24 schools that submit the name of a child
to Ms. Donna at
bowlinglady300@yahoo.com will be able to come and enjoy a night of
bowling with us.
